THE JOURNEY THROUGH 1:1 THERAPY

Individual work unfolds as an ongoing journey rather than a series of isolated sessions. The rhythms below offer different ways of being accompanied in this work. Because the journey itself is the destination, there is no fixed timeline or point of arrival. The work simply continues at the pace that supports your path and your unfolding.

QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE

HOW DO I BEGIN?

Committing to ongoing therapeutic work together is a big commitment, both for you and for me. For this work to have a meaningful impact in your life, it is very important that we are a good match. You need to feel comfortable enough to open up, and trust me with your inner journey. I also need to feel that there is a good flow between us and enough chemistry for this work to truly support you.

The relationship between therapist and client is one of the most important elements in creating meaningful change, and I take that very seriously.

For that reason, every Journey begins with The Exploration. Before the 90 minute session, you will receive a questionnaire that helps me understand where you are on your path. During the session itself, we explore your current situation and the paths that may lie ahead, while giving you the opportunity to experience the way I work, including hypnosis, which is a recurring part of my therapeutic process.

While hypnosis is often used to explore the past, in this session we do something different: we explore the future. Together we look at possible directions for your path, which often brings a powerful sense of clarity, vision and direction. Many people leave this session with renewed hope and a deeper sense of trust in themselves and in where their path is taking them.

From there, we can decide together whether continuing the journey in one of the rhythms above feels right for you.

You can schedule The Exploration here.

HOW DO SESSIONS WORK?

My work is intuitive and responsive to where you are in the present moment. I draw from an eclectic background that includes anthropology, hypnotherapy and emotional empowerment, always with attention to the deeper existential layer of your experience.

I don’t follow a predetermined script. Each session begins with what is alive in you right now, and your current emotions always guide the direction of the work.

In the earlier stages of the journey, we may use more formal hypnosis techniques to explore deeper layers of the subconscious. Over time, as you become more familiar with your inner landscape, this often becomes less necessary, and moving between states of consciousness tends to happen more naturally.

We may sometimes go very deep to understand the roots of certain patterns or beliefs, but we always bring those insights back to the conscious level so you leave with clarity, understanding, and a sense of direction for your path forward.

There are no forbidden topics in this space, and you are always encouraged to bring whatever is true for you.

WHAT IS YOUR SPECIALISATION?

Over the years, I have worked with people navigating a wide range of experiences, including CPTSD, anxiety, depression, incest, life transitions, relationship challenges, questions of identity, and the search for meaning and direction in life. My practice is inclusive and welcoming of LGBTQ+, gender diverse, and alternative relationship constellations.

I am trauma-informed and familiar with different diagnostic frameworks such as ADHD, HSP, OCD and others. While these lenses can be helpful in understanding certain patterns, my work is not centered on diagnoses.

Instead, I focus on the deeper existential layer where meaning, identity, and beliefs about ourselves and the world were first formed. It is often there, underneath the layers of trauma, attachment wounds and life schemas, that lasting change becomes possible.

A central element of my work is helping people rediscover a state of coherence: a place where your inner experience and the reality around you begin to align. From this place, perception becomes less shaped by old conditioning, past wounds, or inherited meanings, and more rooted in your direct experience of the present.

Ultimately, my work is about helping you reconnect with and trust your own individual truth, while cultivating a deeper sense of safety and grounding within yourself. From that place, people often rediscover a sense of agency, clarity, and sovereignty in their lives.

You can read more about my approach, The Coherence Process, here.

WHICH RHYTHM IS RIGHT FOR ME?

Each rhythm simply reflects a different pace of accompaniment. Some people begin with deeper, bi-weekly work and later move into a weekly rhythm as the journey begins to meet everyday life. Others prefer to start more slowly and increase the rhythm over time.

There is no right or wrong starting point. What matters most is choosing the pace that feels sustainable for your life right now. The rhythm can always evolve as your journey unfolds.

WHAT IS THE COMMITMENT?

When we begin working together for the first time, there is a minimum commitment of 3 months. This helps create the continuity and support that are often needed at the beginning of deeper therapeutic work.

All rhythms above are set up as ongoing monthly subscriptions. This simply means that the rhythm continues month to month with automatic payments, until you decide to cancel it. For “The Clearing” (quarterly rhythm), the monthly payment accumulates until the full sessions can be scheduled.

After the first 3 months, you are free to cancel at any time with 14 days’ notice. The 3 months commitment only applies the very first time we begin working together.

You can find more details about cancellations and payments further below.

CAN THE RHYTHM CHANGE LATER?

Yes. The rhythms are flexible and meant to adapt to your needs in the moment.

If you feel that a different pace would better support you, simply bring it up during a session or send me a message, and we will adjust the practical details together.

HOW DOES “ONGOING SUPPORT” WORK?

An important part of my approach is making sure that you feel supported throughout our journey together. While this may not be common therapeutic practice, I have chosen to include the possibility of contact between sessions as part of the way I work. This means that you are welcome to reach out if something comes up and you need guidance, reflection, or simply to share what is happening for you.

This usually happens through voice or text messages. At the moment I use WhatsApp, although the platform may change in the future. You are welcome to write whenever something feels alive for you, at any time of day.

While I strive to respond as soon as I can, replies will usually come within a few days.

There is no strict limit to how much you can reach out, but it is meant to stay within reason so that the space remains sustainable for both of us. While ongoing support cannot replace a session, it can be a very valuable way to feel supported and connected to the process between our meetings.

WHERE DO SESSIONS TAKE PLACE?

Because I work with people from all over the world, most sessions take place online. We usually meet through video on Google Meet, although the platform may change in the future.

Online work, including hypnosis, functions very well in this format. Many people who initially feel unsure about it quickly discover that it allows them to relax more deeply in their own environment. You can sit or lie down comfortably at home, and when the sessions ends (especially if the work has been emotionally intense), you have the space to rest and integrate instead of stepping immediately back into a busy outside world.

If you are based in Copenhagen and prefer meeting in person, it is also possible to arrange sessions face to face.

WHAT ARE THE CANCELLATION TERMS?

As mentioned above, when we begin working together for the first time, there is a minimum commitment of 3 months. After that initial period, you can cancel your subscription at any time with 14 days’ notice.

Individual sessions can be rescheduled or cancelled with at least 48 hours’ notice. Sessions cancelled later than that will normally be charged in full, unless there are exceptional circumstances.

I do not issue refunds. However, if there is remaining credit on your account when our work together ends, that amount will simply be used toward a session of equivalent value.

WHAT DO PEOPLE SAY ABOUT WORKING WITH YOU?

Over the years, people I’ve worked with have described their experience in many different ways. Here are a few words they shared:

Sofia is simply the best! I have tried many other coaches, but she rocks it. I can recommend her from the bottom of my heart!

In my journey to finding myself, Sofia played an invaluable part. She walked beside me to carry me when I was at my weakest, she was strong for me when I couldnโ€™t be for myself. I closed my eyes, took a leap of faith and through letting go, she help find the real ME inside. There is much I am thankful for, but the most is reserved for Sofia. She will always and truly hold a big part in my heart for she has, with so much passion & compassion, helped me live my life again, not just be in it!

I have never worked with a therapist that is so full of compassion and empathy like Sofia is. And I worked with many. She guided me every step of my journey and was always there to provide support and such deep insights. Thank you Sofia so much.ย

Working with Sofia is like having a wise, not-entirely of this world, spirit advisor walking with you and letting you know what needs healing deep within and showing you how to do so. Iโ€™ve been looking for this sort of guidance for a very long time. She is very skilled in listening, interpreting and understanding what could be needed for your emotional/spiritual health at the root. She is also very nurturing. No matter what kind of shield you try to put up, she knows how to gently remove it and help you back to a feeling of safety and forward movement. I am thankful that I met her.
